Difference between Tein SS & SS-P?

Hi everyone,

Had a question regarding the two SS models listed for our cars on tein.com.

http://www.tein.com/acura.html

What's the difference between the SS & SS-P? Why is the SS-P three hundred bucks more?

Thanks guys.

p indicates pillow mounts, those metal plates that top off the assemblies. should make installation a lot simpler if they are pre-assembled.

The SS-P is also needed if you want to add the EDFC unit

I don't think that's right, they offer a EDFC for the ss and the ss-p.the ss-p comes with upper mounts and the ss does not.

Yup the only difference is that they come with the pillow mounts, which can be added to the SS's at a later date. The EDFC just controls the dampening screws that are on both the SS's and the SS-P's with four servos mounted on top of each strut.

On the TL you don't need the SS-P to run the EDFC, only on the CL due to hood clearence issues.

You CANNOT add those tein pillow mounts later. They won't sell them seperately, people have asked.

I have them and they handle very well but I'm going to tell you the ss-p are a little noisy.

I thought you need the pillow mounts to run the edfc? How do you control the height and dampening without the pillow mounts remotely?

Noisy? Describe the noisy. There isn't any other significant performance or convenience advantage with the SS-P's??

I already know about the EDFC
