can somebody tell why TIRERACK would recommend 225-40-19 and 235-35-19 from DISCOUNTTIREDIRECT for the 02-03 TL type-S plus 2 sizes on the tire?? I know both sites are legit but it can confusing for someone like myself who's not familiar with tire hieght & width associated with tucking & rubbing. just recently i've learn what an offset is... thanks to acurazine. i'm tryin to upgrade from 225-35-19 cuz it does'nt offer much protection from the bumps, potholes,railroad tracks which bent my rims out of shape so bad (FUBR).Which could be pricey cuz wheels company do not want to break up thier set just to sell you one. lesson learned. so please tell me which size i should go with 225-40-19 or 235-35-19 on my next set of 19s and which tire brands?? and "Like Bartels and James" Thank you for your support!!

hope this help and i think its best to go with 225/40/19 but thats my opinion

 

well depending on what offset and rim width you have would be if i would run with the 235 or not. You aren't going to gain much of any sidewall to protect the rim with either of them
