Converting Bolt Patterns???? Is this possible???
For example, I have a 99TL. Lets say i have a 5x100 bolt pattern rim that i want to be able to fit on my 99TL. Obviously that bolt pattern does not fit, but is it AT ALL POSSIBLE TO CONVERT THE HUB OR AN ADAPTER OR SOMETHING??? Anyone and everyones input on this would be VERY HELPFUL??? I want to know,, answers please.... Thanks.

It is not worth it; but it is possible to do by the wheel shops. They can make new bore, and they can make new holes to match your hub. Some wheels even have both bolt patterns. You don't want to mess around with your hub if all possible; it will probably costs more to buy another set of wheels.

why is there different bolt patterns in the first place, why not slap a 5x114 on everything, then wheel companies dont have to manufacture all this crap, we get the whole wheel spectrum, wheels dont come with 20000 bolt holes and everyone's happy

companies are able to control what mags go on what cars. IE you scrap your mags on your Lincoln Continental you more or less have to go to the dealer for 1000$/each replacements.
also its cheaper to make a car 4 bolt compared to 5 bolt. it may be a few dollars per car but it ads up fast.
also 95% of the population will never even think of replacing their OEM steelies or mags. So they really couldn't care less what bolt pattern/ offset they have. And even if they did it wouldn't influence their purchasing decision.
