A Confusing Offset Answer!

As we all go through the sea of aftermarket wheels, we all try to make the right decision of offset. I sometimes e-mail the manufacturer to see what the offset is just to make sure and get their opinion....so I sent out ANOTHER question to Veloche Wheels (who recomended I got to this vendor for purchase) and I got this response:

--------------------------------------------------------
"We have received your information from Veloche Wheels whom requested us to assist you further with your inquiry regarding finding the right wheels for your 2001 Acura 3.2TL at great low price.

Evoride is an authorized dealer and an official online store of Veloche Wheels who will provide you with their awesome wheels at near wholesale price! We have the lowest pricing, best inventory, and great customer service to help you find what you need!

Our main website is going through a major construction right now and is not quite up and running yet. However, we can still provide you with great services and help you save hundreds of dollars on your investment for your ride!

Both the Vertice and Verzio come in offset of +40mm for correct fitment on your Acura 3.2TL. These wheels will fit perfectly and look great on your ride!"
----------------------------------------------------
...and you wonder why we get confused when we get this type of a recommendation from an "expert". now I'm sure they will fit, but fit "perfectly"?
I am also sure these people at EVORIDE are good at what they do and I'm not BASHING them here, but these type of statements just add to more offset questions here on the board.......
Just my .....g

What fits and what fits properly are 2 entirely different statements. Theoretically, most any size will fit, but they may stick out quite a bit and won't allow you to drop your ride. Deceptive advertising?? You bet! These guys are out to make a buck. Do your homework before buying as it'll save you much grief in the long run.

They are judging by stock ride height. So if youy like do a test get them put them on and slam the car them tell us how you dont need a muffler because your wheels rubbing at 60mph is loud enough.
