which coilovers will give me the lowest drop?
i just picked up an '03 TL and i'm sooooo sick of stock height. i plan on picking up coilovers but i wanna know which kinda will give me the lowest drop. i was thinking about buying Ksports, Megan, or Tein Basics. if you know of any other brands, lemme know! i don't really mind ride quality because i prefer riding stiff, i just don't wanna be bouncing around over every imperfection on the road. thanks guys.
this is the stance i'm looking for:

if i recall, that member had the teins, slammed to the lowest setting without the locking collars. the megans give you a pretty decent slammage, just look up member z3ro's pictures. otherwise, you can go with the affordable ksports. the springs that come with the set already allow for some pretty low drop, but of course if you wanted to go lower, they offer shorter replacement springs.

Tein SS,
that low you will feel everything on Basics- with SS you can dial it down past OE soft if you need or want.--or run as stiff as you like.
Plan on front and rear camber kits too
See azine vendors Excelerate or MrHeelToe for both of them
they have threads in the Off Topic link at top of pages here,,- Sponsored Sales threads

You people do realize that just because there is thread on the collar to adjust with--- doesnt mean that ok to use!
These shocks have a designed motion range like any others.
In the tein info it has a min and max setting from a specified measure point on itself.
From the suggested starting point for any particular car- you can go about 1 inch up or down and be in the safe operating limits for the shock.
When you lower the car you also preload the suspension and sway bars, adding to the wear and stress---keep an eye on everything like it was a race car.
If you operate outside the limits and blow a valve or sela its ok- tein rebuilds its shocks in los angeles- $75 plus parts last I checked

Tein basic with replacement springs.. hella low. Ksports..hella low. NOT HATIN.. but i belive that photo you posted is chopped. I have the lower collar on the rears (Basics) removed, set all the way down, with heavy 12's and not as low. front has replacement springs. if you go lower in the front with replacement springs get them out back too. I'll have the rears on in about 2 weeks.
