Cant get my A spec rims on! Wheel hub help

sup all

I got these a specs for super cheap, 350. Well I got home and go to put it on and now one of them are not fitting. Urgh, I hate it when things dont go as expected, especially when you are super excited. But the problem is.

That bolt in the middle of the hub has a metal ring around it, which none of my other ones does. That ring is making it too wide for my rings to fit. Below is the a sketch of what i'm talking about. Does anybody know why I only have one side and chances are, does that mean I have to replace my hub to make them fit? damn it

Sorry, I didnt get time to snap some pics but I'll do it tomorrow.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but I don't think there's a spacer. It's got the phillips retaining screws and the threaded holes in the rotor hat. The top stud looks short, rest look ok. Is that a centering ring stuck on from some other wheel? Try prying it off or tapping it off with a hammer & chisel. Don't go crazy, I'm not sure that's what I'm seeing.

ok I uploaded some pics. Below is the wheel that the fits

Notice there is no ring in the middle. Now below is the hub that wont fit!

So that one is the one that doesnt fit, look at the center piece that sticks out. Cause of that my rims dont fit.

Here's another pic.

Front view, anyways, does anyone know why there is a difference and does this mean I have to change my hub?

Something's not right with your non-fitting hub. OEM hubs will NOT have the extra ring that your non-fitting hub has. Change it back to the OEM hub and your problem solved.

hehe ok thats what I needed to know. I wish I could do that, I bought the car like this, I swapped 5 different sets of rims and these a specs are the only one that didnt work. At least I know that is not a stock hub.

There is one thing you need to know. Honda/Acura rims are hub-centric rims, which means that the OEM rims are seated onto the hub for centering.

Most aftermarket rims have bigger hub openings in order to fit as many make and model of cars as possible. As a result, aftermarket rims will NOT seat properly on the OEM hub without using hub-rings. I bet you never use any hub-rings for your aftermarket rims. That's why you don't know that one of your hubs is bigger than the others, until now.

You need to take that off, that is an aftermarket wheel hub centric ring! Get a flathead screwdriver and pop off that plastic ring...then be happy again. Over time, those hub rings can fuse to the hub and with a flathead screwdriver and a rubber mallet hit, it will come right off...lucky for you, this fix is 100% free I'm pretty sure there were aftermarket wheels on your car prior and when the wheels came off, one hub ring stayed on the car..very common and since the rust color is present, it blended in...

forgot to add, spray some wd40 on the top edge of the hub ring so it can soak behind it and make it easier to knock off with the screwdriver

Thats a aftermarket Hub Centric ring on the hub. That came off of one of your other wheels. Pull that off and the A-Spec rims will fit just fine.
