Do you guys get all 4 of your tires aligned when you do the alignment duty? Was wondering if it's really necessary... b/c a lot of my past cars only required the front wheels to get aligned.

 

I don't think I've ever gotten just my front aligned. I think it's standard to do all 4 at once. I think when they do the alignment, they check all 4 no matter what and make adjustments where necessary.

Just replaced orig equip tires on 2003 type S at 42000 miles with Toyo TPT at all 4 wheels. Originals were evenly and car drove fine. Didn't let them do an alignment for their $50. (discount for buying tires) because the monkeys that work at the tire chain probably worked at McDonald's last week. Suspect the alignment is just fine as is. But a 4 wheel alignment is the one which should be done if an alignment is truly needed. However, have a reliable person do it and make sure they leave you with the steering wheel straight as well(some tend to not line it correctly). I do not know what the dealer charges for an alignment. Most of my friends with TL really haven't had alignment problems.
