Alignment Question
I've been having some serious issues with my alignment for a while. My toe adjustment is constantly screwed up and tires are getting eaten up on the inside edge. I've got the lifetime alignment from Firestone and evertime I bring it in they say everything is fine. I called another shop in the area that was recommended by the local classics car club and they told me that the factory specs are not used for a lowered vehicle. Is that correct? I've made an appointment to bring the car in for a 4 wheel alignment because I am tired of eating up tires, but I want to make sure that this seems right before I go.
whats the readings after alignment on toe and camber
How low are you- that changes camber to extreme negative- while stock spec allows up to 1 degree negative, and stock spec itself is Zero camber, toe close to zero
You can run about neg 1.5 and not have tire wear issues.
beyond that-Thats when camber kits need to be installed-

There are not different specs for lowered car- you are just pushing past the limits on normal.
There are ways to set the car up for extreme high speed handling for track day use, but not needed for average humans

Lowered or not, you still try to adjust for spec limits. Sometimes there are some things that cant be adjusted like camber on factory cars without having some form of aftermarket parts. If i was wearing out tires after an alignment i would be making the place that did it buy me new tires. If they dont have toe within spec after an alignment you will get wear like you are stating.
What does the alignment spec sheet look like for #s?

The last time I went I didn't get a sheet with the alignment specs on it, which made me wonder if they even did the alignment. I get the feeling that they don't like me very much b/c I am getting the alignment done for free and everytime the recommend other service, I always decline.
I have H&R Sports, so 2" at the most. I also had an aftermarket camber kit added to the right rear, but that was the only corner that needed it at the time. I'd like to see what this shop says. It's $60 for a 4 wheel alignment, which doesn't seem to bad.

I think I screwed up by not getting that sheet though, I don't think I prove anything now. Is there anything that could cause the toe to go out that it would wear the tires that bad after only a few thousand miles?
