what exactly are you wanting...

just springs.. coilovers... shocks also maybe?

b/c if you just want just drop springs you dont have to spend much (contrary to what most people will tell you)

i dont know much about just springs alone. i've always done coilovers.

i forgot where i am... someone help him

im gonna go with coilover sleeves.. if the ride isnt satisfying.. i can always buy better shocks and still pay a fraction of the 1k coilover setups...

you get the good shocks, adjustable springs.. all for around 600.

despite the bad wrap... the allignment thing isnt true unless you dont know how to count threads =P

but i guess im one of the few who considers this setup

The alignment thing IS TRUE. Any time you mess with the suspension it throws things off, most noticeably the toe where even the slightest change can effect tire wear. Counting threads has nothing to do with it. Your alignment will change just from the springs settling in. (which is usually very minimal) now tell me how adjusting it 1/2 inch or more wont?
Go have an alignment then raise it 1 inch or even worse lower it 1/2 to 1 more inch and tell me your results.

i respect your knowledge.. but i never had any alignment problems with coilover sleeves... tires last almost 2 years or more a set..

and i went from .5" drop to 3" almost every few months "car shows"

but, i guess if this problem were to ever arise, you do know that walmart has free lifetime alignment after you do it once right?

the only difference between walmart mech's and auto shop mech's is the location...

some of the people working in acura's garage wont get near my car after talking to them about the simplest things...

besides... an alignment isnt exactly something the mechanic needs smarts to do...

hmm, i thought they were all relatively the same...

here, walmart has their own seperate auto garage.. always in the back. they have 4 or 5 lifts and can turn out cars in good time... not to mention the same name brand tires as other shops for a fraction of the cost...

more people should try them out...

just dont go in expecting major work... they keep it simple with fluids, tune-ups.. brakes, tires.. etc....

oh and my ride is VERY liveable, the TL in front of me is now running Koni yellows with Neuspeed Race springs, so its about the same height as mine and the ride is sporty yet really comfortable.. its a win win situation...

If i were you I would definitely go with Koni yellow shocks for sure

and either:

HR or Neuspeed Race - which is the height of mine, or you can put the yellows on the lower perch and it will be approx. 1" lower than mine

or

HR Sport - which is the same as CJITTY posted and again on the lower perch will be approx. 1" lower. This setup will have a better ride

How long was the car driven from one setting to the next? If you were doing it for just shows thats probably why. On the TL 1" drop will be enough to throw toe off enough to be out of factory spec. Going as dramatic as you posted would wear out the fronts in no time if left like that.

correct.. if dropped that low it was never more than a weekend... tire wear did happen.. i was talking more in alignment terms.. just never seemed to have that issue.. i always just made sure all for wheels were even, or at least even with the opposite side. car never pulled hardly at all if any

anything lower than 1" on my honda wore the tires down. but if i got with 2"+ on the TL, i will be using a camber kit. i've bought enough tires in my life. time to make them last for their WHOLE lifespan.

Doesnt have to pull to wear tires though. .10 deg of toe will kill the tires faster than -4 deg of camber.

Yes. You should do that ANY time you do something with the suspension.
