Type-S look better. Get yourself some spacers if you want yours to sit flush. 3rd gen A-Spec are popular somewhat as well.

Really if you searched you would have found quite a few pic of them already.

If you get 3rd gen wheels and you aren't dropped then you are going to look like a 4 x 4

Heres a link to pictures of my 2nd gen cl with 06 tl wheels https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-photograph-gallery-53/few-pics-cl-s6-733378/ That should give you some idea of what it would look like.

i was running 235 45 17 with 8mm spacers ...then i ended up getting 245 45 17's..had to take the spacers off cuz it rubbed like crazy..those pics i posted are with 245 45 17's..without the spacers there fine..no rubbing at all..im lowered almost 2 inches on eibach pro kit...from what i reserched the 245 45 17 are the closest to the same height of the stock tire size 215 50 17..i kinda liked the 235 45 better tho

They're ugly on a 2g. The 3G A-spec look good though.

not really true, it depends on the size of the sidewall. the sidewall can take up most of the space if you get the right size tire. Think I has 235/40/18 and it looked perfect. With 225/40/18 it looked weird, too much space.

I've currently got 3rd gen wheels (from a 04 TL) on my 03 TL Type-S and they look great. One of the best decisions I ever made, and they fit almost perfectly flush...will post pics after I get home from work.

Sorry but I would have to say A specs all the way. These ones are 18x8, I dont know about 18x8.5, Ive read that they rub but I cannot verify that.
