+38 offset

Hey, guys

Actually, I'm getting Enkei PKR rims 18X7.5 5-100/11438BM

and tire is 235/40/18

I didn't know it is going to rub before I read many threads

I think I will have to cut the fender tabs and roll the fenders.

Where can I cut the fender tabs and roll the fenders?

I mean some body shop or ??

and which part do I have to cut the fender tabs and roll the fenders?

Front or rear?

both of them?

Bro, have you purchased the rims yet? If not I would suggest not purchasing them. The offset is way too low for a 2G TL. The stock offset is +55. Add on top of that the width of the rim which is a fill 1" more than stock. You are going to have some major fender rolling to do. Do you really think it's worth it? Did you get a chance to check this thread out: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/01-cl-s-stuff-sale-121066/

I have never had my fenders rolled but I would assume that a body shop might be able to help you out. As far a cutting the plastic tabs. You will notice near the top end of your rear bumper on the inside, there is a plastic tab on either side that protrudes into the wheel well. If your car is dropped and if your wheels are wide enough, you will notice that the tires will start rubbing on these two plastic tabs. Most people will use a dremel to shave this piece off to stop the rubbing.

Hope this helps and good luck.

man~ I already purchased the rims

If I am going to cut the plastic tabs and roll the fenders,

is it going to be fine with +38 offset?

and what about front?

Just like Sam said, unfortunately there are two problems you will probably encounter if you install these rims:

(1) You will definitely have rubbing problems since you are lowered.

(2) The wheels will come out way past the fenders making your car look like a 4x4.

Is there any way to return the wheels, or have you already mounted them already?

+45 is better. But you should go with 225/40 series tires to eliminate any rubbing.

Honestly, you might want to consider taking a hit on the 10% to save you the headache. My previous set of wheels were a +45 offset and they were almost flush with the fender although I didn't rub, but those were 17X7's and I was running a stock profile of 215/50/17. I would say the closer you can get to +55 the better. But I'll let you know right now that it is hard to find wheels with a high offset. The other thing people do in order to get wheels to fit is to purchase tires that have a tapered shape to them so they come in around the edges, this lessens the chance of rubbing. But definitely a +38 and 7.5 inch width is going to be very hard to fit, especially since you are dropped. Can you possible find another rim that this company offers so you don't lose your deposit? Oh, and I agree with NSXNEXT on his comment that you should most likely go with a 225/40/18 if you decide to go with 18's

If you need to get your fenders rolled or tucked, just go to any body shop they'll do it for you

You really should look into finding a wheel with a better offset. Less hassles in the long run

If I HAD to choose between the two I would have gone with the 2nd. I'm not too much a fan of multispoke wheels myself, but the second ones don't look all that bad
