225-55-16 on OEM "00" TL rims

Folks,

I am thinking of putting the 225-55-16 Yokohama
V4s tires on my 2000 TL and although I have seen on the forum
that they are supposed to fit -

I was wondering how far they would stick out, handling & mileage issues
over the long term?

Vehicle is stock and driven about 10,000 mi per yr.
w/ mixed in town/hwy miles here in Pacific Northwest
(Portland, OR)

Thanks for your thoughts

Lots of people have done this setup. When it was time to change out the OEM tires on my mom's '00, I ordered Continental ContiExtremes in 225/55/16 and she loves them. No issues whatsover.

What's a good tire pressure to run on these tires.

I have heard 37lb front and 35 lb rear but given
they are mounted on 6 1/2/" wheels, I wonder
if that may be too high.

Pressure is all up to the driver of the car. Mine always stuck around 38-40. You may not like it that hi. Play around to find a setting you like. I personally thing 32 is too low
