Thumbs down 18" rims purchase nearing

Yes my wife has approved the purchase of chrome 18 's for my tl -s . So im reading to drop some $$$$. However aziners i need your help, opinions, and advice. so here we go:

i really like the MOMO flx -1 there going for $277 a piece with 40 mm 18 x 8.

also

ruff racing r 280 18 x 8.5 $260 a piece 35 mm

and lastly

chrome elements nirtogen and lithium 18 x 7.5 40 mm $200 a piece

all prices are my local rim shop, so online prices may differ

heres some pics and links...input please. im doing 100% chrome and want to keep the 5 star/spoke design preferabely the slimmer the better.

i figured since i spending money ill buy something i have always wanted (chrome). Also my car in black with black taillights and window tint, with chrome trim, and soon to be a chrome grill i just think it will match better than silver, gun metal, or alloy. what do you guys prefer. i know chrome rims are heavier is that why yall prefer otherwise heres a better momo pic

If I may say, most members stay away from chrome wheels because they do not suit the style of our cars. You are on the right track sticking with the five spoke design as it looks great in a variety of styles on our cars. You're looking at a good size of wheel that will leave you with a sick looking stance depending on how much you may lower your car/are lowered.

It's a painstaking process looking for just the right wheel, but with patience and seeking out all options you'll end up with a great wheel/tire combo.

All the best with your search.

Themegalodon pretty much said it all. its painful alright. i don't really like chrome, but like you, i wanted my wheels to match the trim so I went with silver. but patience is the key cuz you really don't want to pick a wheel then have it for a little bit and you like it at first, then you just kinda like it later down the road, then your trying to justify to yourself why you put it on the car in the first place. Search everywhere and don't "settle" for something, pick what YOU like the best. Goodluck man!

Get a gunmetal wheel with a black lip.

or

Black with black lip

or

Gunmetal

or

Black with red lip

It really depends on the style that you are going for. Since you have blackedout tails, go with a dark colored wheel.

i don't know why anyone would want chrome, unless they are stuck in the 90's. maybe you could try some dayton wire wheels and put a gold spinner on them...that would look sweet!!

I like the TSW rims that RYAN posted.

Chrome rims dont really look that good on our cars.

Id say go with a Black rim with chrome lip or a black rim with machined face.

they enkei's are alright. they remind me of RJ servo's. i don't really like how the spokes taper off tho. i like the momo's better than that 1.
