^^^^^ the very first picture looks good i think. I have the little triangles between the 5 spokes painted a dark gunmetal color and i like it. It makes the rims look different. when i get my car clean tomm. i will post a pic if you want. I am getting some Aspecs and having them powdercoated gloss black to go on my WDP.

BTW powdercoating is just alot better durability speaking. it will last longer and look better. Its is costing me 60 a wheel to get them powdercoated black

hey that's pretty nice! At first I didn't notice anything but after looking at the pics longer, the gunmetal sure makes the car looks more appealing! What paint did you use? I think I will do this! Did you sand at all?

the process i used went as follows:

products used:
aeresol paint prep
duplicolor eningine paint (primer)
duplicolor wheel paint (gunmetal)
1000 grit sandpaper
i used the sheets of laminate paper from office depot( self adhesive to tape everything off. it is clear so you can precisely cut it. i then sprayed the wheel really good with the paint prep and let it sit for about 20 seconds and then wiped it off real good. then i taped everything off and primed each little triangle. I let the primer sit for about 15 minutes and then very lightly sanded it. then i put 4 coats of wheel paint on each area sanding very lightly between each coat. thats about it. very time consuming but i like how it looks. if you wanted it to be glossy you can go one step further and clear coat it but i chose not to do that. it is a really good project for a nice saturday mod. any other questions just ask.

I'd personally try and find some of the gunmetal A-Spec rims from the 3G, those things are hot!

Thanks! That's a nice DIY writeup by the way! I will give that a try when I have time (probably the next long weekend?).

The paint that is used in my pictures is speciffically made for wheels. i dont think they have bronze. to my knowledge its Black, gunmetal, silver, and white. those are the only avaliable colors that i know of.

Secondly the TL-S rims would look kind of funny i think all bronze. The 5 spokes are wide if you really look at them. that was my reasoning on painting the insides of the spokes darker. It gives the appearance of not so wide spokes in turn making the wheels look slightly bigger or a better word for it would be not so chunky. im pretty sure that the only way you will see the TL-S wheels in bronze is if someone photoshops it for you man.
