Yea, another one.
What's up guys. I just picked up my TL about a month ago, and the TCS light will stay on after the tranny free revs a few times. It's gotten worse in the past 3 days, and I noticed it only a week ago. The previous owner said he had the tranny replaced by Acura at 98,000 miles last summer. Any chance of them covering this inevitable rebuild, or am I assed out?

Is there any chance that the replacement transmission is still covered by its own warranty? My 1999 TL had the transmission replaced last year at an Acura dealership and it came with a 2 year/unlimited mileage warranty.
In any case, some "out-of-warranty" TLs have still received partial or full coverage for replacement transmissions. See the "Tranny Failure" thread for many reports of this:

Speak to the service manager at you local dealer and call Acura's national Customer Care group. The Customer Care folks should open a case for you.
Good luck!

No sweat on this one
the replacement came with a 12 month 10k miles warranty of its own-your a little over- no big deal
for others
the court decision that our odometer read 5% high means 109 is really 114 indicated miles!
The dealers are aware that some of the replacements fail- they will goodwill you this one
Call and online register with acura, then call the service manager- not the writer,- manager- take a box of donuts with you- generates amazing amounts of goodwill
sometime donut dust obscures the odometer or their glasses-
can you tell me what that says? 103? thanks!

and 1-800-382-2238x5 different systems- do both have VIN handy
Look under recall section after online registration for warranty info
report back here
get it in the shop before it goes into 2nd gear while you are on the freeway

It's been 20k miles since the replacement
and it was done by the previous owner. I'm going to call that number tomorrow morning though, hopefully someone will come through. Any tips on the call?

I'd first call the dealership where the transmission was installed and see if, or when, the warranty expired. Even if the warranty has expired they might cut you a deal since the replacement only lasted 20,000 miles. As mentioned by 01tl4tl, ask to speak to the Service Manager.
If that doesn't work out call the national customer care group and see if they can help out.
