Wiper adjustments?

Wiper adjustments?
Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but I've had my 2000 TL since new and currently have over 154,000 miles of somewhat trouble-free driving under my belt. The issue that's bothering me is the wiper assembly. Whenever the wipers are on, they slap at the windshield trim at both ends of their arc. Sometimes, though, they don't make a full arc, even when the windshield is very wet. It hasn't always been this way. It seems as though the wipers slowly started to creep out of adjustment shortly after the warranty expired(!). Is there some way to adjust the wiper swing? It gets really embarassing at a light with blades crashing away at the windshield molding. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Mine did the same and after exposing the linkage joints I found they were worn due to a nut coming loose. This was a few years ago but the rod unit I needed was only $17 from a dealer, just make sure it comes with new press-fit nuts.
