Hey guys, hope this hasnt been asked before but i couldnt find it, recently my windshield wipers or shall i say the thing controlling them has gone haywire, i no longer have a first setting on my wipers where i can control how long the interval is between them, but rather it goes the same speed as the second setting and after two periods decides to stop at the top position, also when i use the washer fluid, the wipers make about 3 rounds then also stop at the top position, when i push down on the handle to get a few rounds manually the wipers go extremely fast and just make a bigger mess. Its really annoying and its a bitch when it is lightly raining outside.

If anyone has any idea what is goin on id really appreciate it, thanks a bunch

I can't really understand this post, so I can't help. The only thing I understood was the part about using the MIST feature (pressing down on the lever to do one sweep). When you press that lever, if you hold down on it the wipers wipe at the fastest setting. If you want the wipers to wipe at a normal speed, press the lever and release it.

 

I had the same exact problem when I bought my TL a 1.5 months ago...

The wiper in intermittent would freeze halfway up the window for 3 seconds and then resume...it was annoying as hell...

anyway

I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the entire windshield wiper motor and the problem seems to have stopped......


I think the motor is about $$80..check

thanks appreciate the help, im guessing that is whats goin on, i might wait a little to gather up the money tho, too many other goodies i want to buy for my car!
