Why is my car vibrating at startup/shutoff?

When I start my car or shut it off, the engine rumbles a bit rougher than it ever has. When I start it it is rough for a minute or so, then smoothes out again when idle goes to 750...is this more likely a dirty EGR port or bad motor mounts?

Also, when I shut the engine off, I notice it vibrates a tad more violently than it has before...

Where is the EGR located and how do you clean it.

Do you have to replace the whole EGR port, or just clean it? And what are the symptoms of a bad motor mount?

Have you done the EGR cleaning before? I ran out on my lunch to take the cover off the engine just to see...and even though everyone says it's pretty simple, all the bolts and tubes connected to the throttle body is very intimidating...

Why? why are they any more intimidating than say the lug nuts or the caliper bolts? All they are are bolts. All they do is hold a part on. Rubber hoses come off easy, not much to screw up there. just unplug the sensors. Cant scre that up, they cant go into the wrong sensor.
Dont be intimidated by it. It is Very easy, plus you will see the inside of the intake.

lol...yeah. I suppose you are right. Seems like I have bad luck with remembering where pieces go, but seems pretty self explanatory. So far it seems like all the hoses and bolts that come off for the EGR cleaning only fit exactly where they are supposed to. That's very good for me. I have to unplug my battery for the disassemble, correct? I'm assuming other than my radio code, I won't have to worry about anythig else resetting?
