wheel bearing, axle..or?

New noise coming from the front end. Its only happening when I get moving above 15mph or so, and continues to get louder the faster I go. Sounds like a failing bearing (roaring sound similar to a truck with mud tires) but only makes noise under throttle or engine backpull. Thing is if I turn the wheel back and forth it doesnt go away..could it be an axle? My worst fear is its something in the transmission..

Thoughts?

i had a sound like that, turned out to be a bad tire, try rotating the tires first, because a typical wheel bearing will hum at all times, throttle, coasting w/e, and for axles its usually under load....

Even if I just rotated the tires not 500 miles ago? Didnt make the noise when I rotated them..this just started probably within the last 150 miles..

if your wheel have any play in them then its probably the bearing.. jack it up and try to pull and push each wheel to see if their is play... as for axles, i just inspected mine before i replaced them. both were not bent but were trashed.. they wouldnt even spin the smallest bit

most likely a bearing, especially if it makes a roaring noise.
