So a while back i had gone to the acura dealership and they told me my alarm system was bad. They tried reprogramming 2 different remotes for my 03 tl and no response from neither. But then last night im with some friends leaning on my car,and when we get off my car the alarm goes off! :"O so this was good to my ears since i didnt think i had an alarm that functions. Still my clickers dont work though. Is this like a receiver problem and if so how do i fix it?

 

I'll bet you've got an aftermarket alarm. I don't think the factory alarm has any motion sensing ability. Try having an auto accessory place look at it. Typically a place that does car stereo, remote starters, alarms, etc. should be able to help you.

OEM Alarm doesn't have shock sensitivity... Its a very basic Alarm/Immobilizer..

So if your Alarm goes off by shock then you probably have some sort of aftermarket Shock Sensors hard-wired into your OEM Alarm or Aftermarket Alarm altogether.

 

woah. Well all ik is that it wasnt able to be programmed, n it went off only when my friend literally got off the front passenger fender. It didnt stop with the clicker, only by me unlocking the door with the key. SO its after market for sure? and if if it? will a shop charge me just to check it out?
