Right now I've got 99 something k on the car... car had its first new trans at 75k , I've haven't really noticed much in the way of slipping or anything, but it does make a fairly loud sound when giving it some gas from a stop - not really a grinding sound, but sort of - is that normal? It didn't used to make that sound, or at least not as noticeably ... should I take it to the dealer and have them look at it just because? - like to get it on record for later - I'm pretty paranoid about the trans issues and no way I can afford to pay for a new one.... So if i do go to the dealer.. any tips on how to handle them as far as trans replacements and such - thanks!

 

yes, i'm on my fourth tranny. today it started making the nosie you desribed. sounds a like a jet engine taking off. when you let off on the agas it also makes a noise. let off the gas and it keeps running forever...luckey my last two covered by acura care warratnty. has 96000mi at this time

 

Definitely take it to the dealer before you hit 100,000 miles. And make sure they document why you brought it in.
