im hearing a weird noise when the car is off. it sounds like something hydraulic and it happens every 2-3 minutes while engine is off....any ideas?

warm from 30 minute freeway, or 5 minutes, what??
any idea where- open hood!

it comes after short drives, maybe 20 min...sounds like it comes from under the hood on the passenger side and it lasts about 5 seconds or so

 

^I get it too. I first noticed it when I was replacing my inner fenders. ~3 minutes after I turn my car off, it will make that noise. For me, it only makes that noise once. It won't make that noise again, unless I turn on and off the car.

It's not that loud, and you won't notice it unless your sitting next to the engine bay for ~3 minutes after the car is turned off.
