Water Leak
Hi,
I have a 2000 Acura TL with wet floor rugs on the driver’s side of the car, both front and rear. I can’t seem to locate the problem. It started shortly after AAA had opened the car door with a balloon type device ( not sure it that is the cause or not). They put a device between the door jam and the door and inflate it allowing them access to reach in and unlock the door. I have tried with a hose to find the cause, I had brought it to the dealer and several auto repair shops and even a body shop (thinking that the door frame was bent – it wasn’t) but no one can find the problem. We checked and cleaned the Wiper drains just below the front windshield as well. Has anyone experienced this problem or have any ideas on what else I can do to locate the problem???

You may have to pull the seats, remove the carpet and see if you can locate where its coming from or a drain hole somewhere that is open.

does it smell funny--sickly sweet? if so, ck the coolant level in res bottle and radiator
get the car in the air,,on a lift, and look underneath for drains--poke with wire road/coat hanger
Body shop would have the best knowledge of locations
or dig thru a workshop manual
