Used reset RAM on navi now theft code is kaput!!!!!!!!!
ok.... welcome to the circus that is me trying to get my navi working right..... so I just bought my second 03 tls..... first one with navi..... so navi is working when i buy it but I wanted to fig out the "pin" so i could set my home address.... so i find a post on here that tells you how to reset the ram for the unit..... so i call acura owner services and get the "anti-theft" code.... and oh btw doing this on my own because King Acura of Birmingham, AL wanted 100 bucks to spend 10 mins doing this for me.... BS! anyway.... use the anti theft code before and has worked fine but now that I reset the ram on this thing it no longer works..... anyone got any experience with this????
thanks for the help....
thanks for the help....
i'm asking because i can't get into the navi system at all..... all it's good for at the moment is A/C and a clock..... that's 3 hours behind because I also can't set it with out this code.....
you can go into the service menu and it gives you the option to reset the memory (RAM) on the unit..... ( there are threads about it on here) people do this to reset the user pin code instead of paying the dealer $100 to do it.... i've seen where alot of people have used this technique to do this but never that they've had a problem with the anti theft code afterwards...... I got my code from acura and pulled the serial number off the box in the trunk where the dvd unit is......
