Trying to jump Radiator fan motor (PICTURES)

I am trying like hell to jump my radiator fan motor. This is the connection. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.

What am I supposed to do. Is the black wire ground? Is the blue wire power?

Am I doing this right? I got these wires for $1.59 at AutoZone. Can I run these straight to the battery and test my fan motor.

Just is to give you another view of what I see. What do I do next? Am I doing this right way?
Let me give you some history. My car overheats. I have replaced thermostat, radiator cap, coolant temp sensor and antifreeze. I even checked the relays. If my fan works, I will be 100% sure its the radiator fan switch. The car only gets hot when I stop. The A/C is cool and it runs good until I stop.

In your second picture (straight view of the connection), the right side is power, and the left side is ground. So seems like you're doing it right.

It might be a bad fan motor.

Agreed, recheck the connection. If all look good, your fan motor is junk.

So here is my next question. Do I run both wires to the battery? What's the best the way to test the motor? Do I turn the car in the "on" position and then test the fan motor. It sounds like the logical thing to do, I just want to make sure its the right way.

If you run it straight to the battery thats all you need to do, connect the neg to the neg and the pos to the pos. It should turn on. If it doesnt, you either have teh connections backwards or the motor is shot.

If you've got more than 120K miles and have never replaced the radiator fan motor, better just replace it.
I replaced mine around that mileage as the armature's carbon brush are simply worn out and simply would not spin fast enough to cool the engine.

If you run the power wire right from battery. No need to turn key on.

Is it something I am doing wrong? I ran the wires to the battery and I still can't jump the radiator motor. I tested on my condensor fan, thats working, and it still will not work. So the car doesn't have to be on in order for it work. What am I doing wrong? I will replace the motor regardless but I want to know what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help?

It doesn't look like you're doing anything wrong. It's a good bet that your fan motor is just shot.
