Transmission question... sorry to start another one

Ok I really do apologize for the new thread on Another tranny question, I did search and could not find anything...

Ok, 2000 tlp, 86k and the oil jet thing was done a few years ago.. what My question is, my tranny (during hard eccel) slips from second to third, not during normal driving. My mom owned the car from new, so i know its never been abused/salvaged etc. I am wondering if the oil jet thing may need new oil? Im really sorry if thats a stupid question, I just wanna know... and; what kind of sign is this?? When im in the sportshift from 2nd to 3rd (in hard eccel) it shifts absolutely fine. The tranny has been flawless since now, and now im worried like hell something is wrong. Please help

For starters, forget you ever heard of the oiljet. Its a unrelated part and does noting for the trans problem that every one has

Now for your problem its probably the start of a failing trans. When was the last time the trans fluid if ever was changed?

time to get it to the dealer for diagnosis, and since its a little over time limits,
ask for `Goodwill deal` if bad trans is diagnosed

If mom took it to the dealer for any service- oil change- brakes---that makes it a known customer car, and the service MANAGER works harder to get assistance from acura corp
for you

should be reddish and not smell burnt

There was no need for acura to change the fluid on the recall install
of the EXTERNAL oil jet kit
It goes right on top into the normal filler hole.

just get it to the dealer- dont sweat when they say $100 diagnosis, that gets picked up in the warranty
Just go in and say- my trans is acting up, it does the following things.....
When you are nice- they are nice back-

the car was serviced by an acura dealer- its in the system
thats all that matters to corp- you spent money with them at some point,
so they can help you out now- the same as they are helping others in similar situations

If I was you, I will have the Acura change the trany oil first, then come back a few weeks later and bring up the trany problem "nicely". Otherwise you may lost the "Goodwill" because 1-not a loyal Acura customer 2-don't follow the trany oil change schedule.
