Transmission or PCM?

SO I recently purchased a 2001 Acura TL that the transmission was "bad" go figure? D5 light is flashing, P1773 with 1768 DTC and lack of power through all the gears and eventually nothing, no movement. Purchased a rebuild kit and tore the transmission down yet everything looked great.. Reassembled and installed with all new sensors even the linear solenoid. Still have the p1773, tcs, engine light, lack of power and no typronic sport mode. I checked the all the fuses and grounds, looks great. Now I did check continuity to the linear solenoid and I have 12 volts going to both sides of the, this cannot be right? One is pos and the other is neg correct? Does this mean the PCM has failed. The car did throw a PCM failure code prior to the build but hasnt since. I am at a loss with this car, any help would be appreciated!!

If ya tore down the tranny and rebuilt it, then ya know your way around this kinda stuff.
The factory service manual is your best friend when it comes to testing procedures, IMO !!!

Agreed with 3.2TLc the service manual is your best friend. It says its the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve B, and you should see 5 ohms its the dual linear solenoids next to the battery. To test them it says to put battery positive on terminal 1 and negative on 2 and see if the solenoid functions, if it works fine then its a wiring problem or worst ecu. good luck

That's a nice video. This is not the first time folks have problems with an installation. Quite common....and it's nothing more than switched or faulty connectors. It's always best to get a Honda-friendly shop to do your installs.

Thank you for the responses and the advice. I have checked out the linear solenoid per the FSM and it checks out fine. The connectors are ok nothing wrong with them and all my grounds have been cleaned and checked. Only weak link left is the PCM. I have worked on many different types of vehicles and this has put the icing on the cake for being a PITA lol . Going to send the PCM out for a rebuild, I will follow up and let you know how it goes. Thanks again
