I know a lot has been written about the TL trannies going bad and people doing the AV6 swap. Well, my 2003 needs a tranny and I found a few Odyssey ones with decent mileage and a fairly low price. My question is has anyone used an Odyssey tranny for the swap without problem? If so, is there any special problem I should lookout for? Was used in conjunction with an MDX engine.

I would stay away from the pre-2005 Oddy trannys, they really aren't much more reliable than the stock TL trannys.

 

Hey I'm sorry to thread back, but I've made post and gotten no replies. I've got the 04 tl automatic and my Tran is gone. Is there anything specific I should know when purchasing/ installing this 07 v6 accord transmission? The guy at the garage said that the case numbers had to match idk is if that's true or not. The car is at the shop now so I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance and sorry again for hijacking.
