Question Tranny question for anyone

I just put a remanufactured tranny into my 2002 tls. It shifts just fine, but I have noticed that my gas pedal is a little stiff. I also noticed that I do not have the quick response from the gas pedal I used to have. Is this normal for new transmissions?

No. Check the throttle cable to make sure it's not twisted or bound up. They probably unhooked it while removing the tranny.

This sounds resonable, but where exactly is the throttle cable? I hate it when mechanics do not put things back the way they were.

the throttle cables are mounted on top of the throttle body on the drivers side under the hood.

Someone else mentioned that the ecu may be programmed to respond differently on the new tranny. Does this make sense to you.

If you disconnect your battery for like 10 minutes it will reset the ECU. Connect the battery and go out and punch it throughout each gear, the ECU will adapt to your style of driving which might solve your problem.
