Tranny Issue?

Seem to be having issue when tranny gets hot. After I drive for a while and then need to put it in reverse, it will engage softly then engage again after a second or two, but it will be a jerking “rough” engagement. It also does it when I put in drive from reverse. Its not throwing any codes so I don’t know why its doing this. Any ideas?

Its shifting between gears without slipping.

Tnx, already looked at that, but I don't have problems with shifting through gears only with reverse and drive. Unless he meant that those symptoms apply to shifting between reverse and forward also.

Well, if you still have 87k miles and not salvaged my suggestion would be to take it to the dealer for evaluation.
It sounds like a tranny issue to me. Rough shifting and delay to engage shifting into reverse or drive all relate to the tranny.

Go to your nearest Acura and make sure that they document it.
