tl 1999 tranny issue special

tl 1999 tranny issue special

Hi people i am new here , hope to meet ha few people , ok just both my tl 1999, 250000 km very clean but the tranny here is the thing , lets say i put the car at drive , till there everything is ok after when i press the gaz in the mddle between the 1 st and 2 nd gear its long to shift and the 3 rd gear goes in right away to fast and it kicks ha little bit . . . but when i press the gaz slowly calm well the tranny shifts very good . . . ?????? , now the oil is seems to be brown could i changed it could it do ha difference ? .

Oh dear...

From the little bit I could understand, it sounds like your transmission is dying. You could try to change out the ATF to see if that buys you some more time, but it's failing at the moment.

My Odyssey did that, then it decide to give up 6 months later..

fluid is supposed to be red or pink

fluid thats brown is burned and not lubricating

you can try a 3.5 qt drain and refill but its a band-aid at best now
thats a lot of kms ona TL trans if it makes you feel better!

when you press the gas slowly it allows the clutches to grip and hold rpm to accelleration

when they are worn and you ask for more power and grip--they slip, the rpm goes up, the trans bangs into gear etc

could i changed the transmission fluid could it help ?

I changed fluid on mine, didn't help much for me. But don't hurt to change it.

You could try to change teh fluid to see if it helps but there is no guarantee that it will fix the issue.
