Is there any way to get the "error" code off the CD changer?

I have a 2003 Acura TL with a beautiful factory installed Bose 6 CD player in it. However I cannot get the thing to work as everytime I push the "load" button to insert some CDs I get the word "error" displayed on the CD player. I checked the owners manual and it says that if I get this type of message to check with the dealership. I have to assume there is something wrong fundamentally with the design of the CD player if they put that kind of a response to a very specific problem right in the owners manual! It's like they expect it to happen! Has anyone else experienced this and have they had any luck in getting it repaired or replaced under some type of hidden warranty?

Thanks everyone.

You probably have a CD already stuck in there. Try to eject the CDs while giving it a good whack upside the head.

Look closely at the slot after you push the eject button. On mine, CDs sometimes hang up & I've been able to get them out by using a small screwdrive and gently lifting (or pushing down, I forget which) the outer edge of the CD while it's trying to eject it.

^that OR you may have to take apart console & take the entire CD changer out. then remove top plate to the changer & fiddle w/ some springs, which may have slipped off one of the sides. it's a bitch but a good feeling once you put it all back together & it actually fixes it

It took 2 days after buying my 2002 tl for the cd player to display an error. Pretty annoying.

Thanks everyone, I'll give your suggestions a try and let you know how I get along. The whack upside the head one is a bit technical for me so I think I'll leave that one for the last!!

Im getting an error code when trying to play cd's. "Er-E0" Once I put in a cd the code pops up and ejects the cd. Have been to the dealership but they want to charge $99 just to look at it. If they send out the price then jumps to $599 plus what ever manufacturer charges to fix. There's got to be a better way...

if i replace my 02 tl with full display video with all the features, any suggestions how to save on purchase, notice some "deals" on pioneer units are coupla years old and do not have up to date mapping, since i have to replace my cd player as hit upside the head and pushing the eject button is not working, i figured to do it with an upgrade, any comments on this line of thinking, i can tolerate the bose system since it is the car already, not one of my first 5 choices but for stock decent unless you have been exposed to audiophile sound before
