Hey I have a 99 tl with 174000 miles on it. I have a cel for a random missfire which I am correcting with a new coil but the TCS light comes on as well. I plugged it in to the diagnostic reader and I do not get any transmission failure codes. The care doesnt seem to have any shifting problems. I can run through the 4 speed and it works fine. Just wondering why this light keeps coming on. Could it be the solenoid screens are dirty? What else?

 

are cars randomly put on the tcs light when the cel comes on also. so its perfectly normal and nothing wrong with your tranny.

i had the same problem happen to me when my egr port was clogged and found out it was a design honda made for the ecu.

 

whew thank you that makes me feel better. Now if I could just get this missfire figured out.

 

the same thing happened to me today, when i got it read though i had a misfire i think on 1, 6 and random. the guy told me i should try down grading my plugs back to platinum instead of iridium, i have 151k btw.
