does anybody know how to fix this problem?
im using a tape adapter for my digital audio player, and this tape noise is getting really annoying. However, i do want to fix it.

i had the same problem when i was using my discman in my 1990 corsica. i lubed up the tape adapter wheels and stuff. i'm assuming it only happens with the adapter, or does it happen with all tapes? you should just get the input cable to install in the back of the stock deck to plug in your MP3 player. you would definitely get better sound out of it.

the interesting thing is that this same tape adapter works quietly great in my ford.
so i think it's the car's tape deck itself.
yeah, i want to do the blitzsafe thing. but i'm having trouble finding a dealer in orange county that does it. i'd do it myself but i have zero experience tinkering w/ car stereos.

I had the same problem with my 02TL. I tried different adapters with no success, the noise is still there. Try a direct connect to the back of the headunit, or I have also had good success with the FM transmitter from DLO.
