Question subwoofer not working right. need azine help.

My subwoofer only works when my heat has been on full blast for like 5-10 minutes, sometimes it takes even longer than that. I have no idea how to explain why its happening. Any suggestions are welcomed. Everything radio/speaker/EQ wise is stock. Sorry mods if this needs to be in the audio section but it is more of a problem that could be fixed.

Highly recommend speaking with Factory Car Stereo Repair, Inc. in the Orlando, Florida area. Their website is http://www.carstereohelp.com/.

When I got my 99 TL last November, no sound at all, even though it was obvious that the stereo was turning on. I am in the area, so I took it by their shop. Less than 90 minutes later everything was working and checked out (someone had reinstalled a factory unit without connecting everything). Charged me a whopping $100 for the work of two guys for all that time and effort. Check out their website and give them a call.

Weird. Sounds like bad wiring or a fuse is going. Check the entire wiring line from the sub to the amp and the speakers to the radio. You won't be able to check behind the radio unless you take most of the dash apart, as that is where I'm suspecting there's an issue. This is just a wild guess but the heat may be remelting a bid of loose solder on a nicked wire allowing it to get a connection.

If you got the stock bose system the radio the speakers & the sub, you need to get an axxes input output, check your ground & remote wires you might need to put them somewhere else, idk how you got your system hooked up though it sounds like something isnt were it belongs...

hey guys, thanks for the responses. I am talking about the stock ten that comes with the car. stock radio. stock speakers. stock wiring. I live in NC. So the climate is mid east coast region climate.

Just FYI, it's 9" for the factory sub. I would check connections in the sub and amp behind rear seat. It's not a very great sub, it may just be blown. When it does play, how is it sounding?

It sounds amazing when it actually works. I don't think it would be the wiring behind the rear seat because it works after the heat has been on. And some random times.
