Why did you buy a whole kit? We already have HIDs. Any reason you cant plug your plug into the new HID bulbs?

And NO you cant hook up your ballast to the new ballast.

oh no the new HID bulb wont fit the stock ballast. i bought the full new kit because it was cheaper then buying the bulbs. new hid kit= 40$ instead of new stock bulb=200$. i got good reviews from the people that bought them i mean their cheap but it works fine!

I just replaced one of my HID ballasts. I got a used stock OEM for $100 from an auto salvage yard - always an adventure. Just to clarify, the ballast is #7 in the diagram below. The igniter is #10, and that's where the bulb plugs in.

I believe the "kits" are for people starting from scratch, wanting to intall HID where it does not already exist, so no, it won't just mount to an existing system. You can't really tell from the diagram below, but that ballast actually mounts to the bottom of the headlight housing via three screws. You would have to mount the kit somewhere else, because I don't think it's going to mount right up where the stock ballast goes, so it would actually be even more trouble. I was just looking at some of those eBay HID kits, supposedly for our cars, and they don't look like our stock at all.

you can fit the aftermarket one in this guy did it. 40$ hid kit worksss fine! probably the best price there is for the same performance.
