Question Steering Wheel Vibration

Recently, when I brake when my speed is going from 40 mph down to 30 mph the steering wheel shakes, but not at any other time. The service advisor at the dealership where I work said it was probably the rotors. He said they were warped and needed to be machined down and leveled back out.

Does this sound right to you and if it does, should I get them machined down or should I get a new set of drilled and slotted rotors? Sure the new ones would be more expensive, but how much better stopping power will the drilled and slotted rotors give me than the stock ones??

Thanks, in advance.

i had the same problem and it didn't go away until i changed my rear rotors and pads along with my fronts. go with aftermarkets. the stopping power is well worth the extra cost! plus the stock acura rotors suck anyway.
