Steering wheel shakes, not brakes or unbalanced tires

I'm new to the forums and haven't ever posted before. I use this site more for like a reference, not to talk about cars. anyway I bought my 2002 tl-s about a month ago. Its lowered with a tein coilover kit and has the factory lip kit. oh yeh its blue. just thought I'd say a little something about the car. Now with the problem - about 2 weeks ago I noticed that my steering wheel would shake when at low speeds. It seems like the tires get to a point and it kind of jerks the wheel to the right. Its pretty much unnoticeable at high speeds. Its definitely not the brakes being warped and I don't think its the tires being unbalanced since it happens at like 1 mph-30 mph. I don't know much but i think its something with the tires maybe or axles? I don't know. it's not a hard shake, but if my hands arent on the wheel it will go back and forth. Any help on what might be wrong? thanks.

I'd have the balance on the tires checked just to eliminate that possibility.

But I agree that you wouldn't typically see wheel balance problems at those low speeds.

Does it shaking happen on all types of road surfaces?

Did you check all the lug nuts for proper torque?

What's the condition of tires?

Damn I just got the new tires put on at Mavis (nankang something). they quoted me 80 to do an alignment but I really had to get back to work and didn't know how important it was. The car seems to drive straight and not pull or anything now. How badly do I need an alignment and camber kit? how much is a kit installed? thanks.

Usually, you can get an alignment check done for free. It's usually computerized. If it needs an adjustment, then you get charged for it. where I am, it $75, takes about an hours to do it.

camber kit is extremely important especially for someone like urself that it is eating thru tires...i believe they sell kits on www.heeltoeauto.com im not sure on the install, ive been spoiled in having a mechanic with a lift in his garage at home..better off finding a small ind. garage whos not gonna rape you....not a hard install
