I guess it could be an engine mount. My car shakes too, haven't found the explanation yet. Not sure I care anymore... it's on its way out.

If it just started after it came back from the shop, it is probably something they changed. I would guess the wheels/tires are the culprit.

I had this problem for a couple of years. I tried balancing the tires several times, new tires etc. You could have several problems. Your brake rotors could be warped. This is farely common if you brake hard in city driving or stop and go driving. Also your new rims could be bent ( even new parts can be deffective), after checking these things, make sure that the shop that put the wheels/tires on entered that correct rim size and that their balance machine is calibrated. I hope you figure it out because it took me a while to fix mine. I ended up having slightly out of round rims. They would balance fine but would still make the steering wheel shake. If you take it back to the shop go watch the rims spin on the balance machine and see if they are truely round. One last idea. Try moving you front tires/rims to the back and your back ones to the front. If you still have a vibration it is probably the equipment used to balance the tires/rims. This should help. Good luck. Remember have the lug nuts torqued with a torqe wrench not an air wrench!

Hey thanks it turned out that the wheels were just balanced badly, after getting them done a second time the shaking stopped so but thanks for the reply.
