steering wheel radio volume switch

steering wheel radio volume switch

Switch behaving badly when pushing up or down volume. Can buy a new switch for $20. Has anyone installed one? 03 TL 30000 miles

I had mine replaced for free at the dealer, now its works great, they installed a new one.

it may just need to be cleaned? If your at all handy and feel like taking your steering wheel off i have aPDF file on how to do it.

I dont get it, why not just have the dealer replace it and install a brand new one for free ?

Cause NOT every one is still under warranty . Plus they most likely wont replace it. They woll most likely do whats in the PDF file

03 w/30k miles without a warranty ? thats a first.

Car is a 2003 purchased in Nov. 2002. 4 year warranty has expired..........

Switch replacement is easy. Just take two side screws off with phillips screw driver. Pinch the steering wheel's gray connector and pull the control module out. Snap in a new one. Dealer in Cerritos, CA wants $30.50 for the control module.
