haven't visited the site on a while (that means my 02 TL has been running welll) until NOW! I have only gotten amazing and helpful responses here and I'm hoping someone can step up once again..here goes

so over the last month or so when I turn the key to start the car, evert 12 or so starts, nothing happened. I would try 2 or 3 more times and she eventually started. Take in mind, when she d I don't turn over, I had full power. all my idiot lights illuminated, yet when I say NOTHING happened, I mean NOTHING! I know when starters click rapidly , then they are on their way out and a jump does the trick (temporarily ) but with me, she doesn't make a suond! my mechanic a had the car for a few days to give me a qoute on Motor mounts, brakes and suspension issues I also have. but he said he had to bang the starter with a hammer in order to get her to start..he's an honest guy, and since I haven't been able to start it for almost 24 hours, I spoke with him brielfly as I think I need him to look at it again. we are hoping it's just a bad connection somewhere so we don't have to replace the whole starter. I'm just wonderingif anyone in the TL 2nd GEN community might have had this happen before aND can offer any advice.. as allways, I'd be grateful for any input you may have .

Had the same exact symptoms. Like a starting lottery that the odds got worse and worse as time went on. Replaced the starter (less than an hour's work) and haven't had an issue starting since.

that was it.I'm not good with tools. my mechanic threw one in for $250..he ain't cheap, but he's honest!
