Stall while driving

Please help !! my car stalls while driving and the flash immobilizer key is on. This is a used car that i bought few months ago. The owner told me that the ignition swithch has been replaced from a recall from Acura.
The problem with my car, could it be from the ignition swith again ?? or the immobilizer chip as i read on others posts or the key ??? Thanks.

It could be the ignition switch again. My 1999 Tl is on its third ignition switch. The second one was installed under the recall and I recently installed the third one.

So don't rule that out. (A replacement ignition switch is about $50.)

But there are many other things that can cause stalling problems.

Search the forums for other possibilities such as sticky IACVs, interference with another immobilizer key on the same key ring, a failing immobilzer key, clogged air filter, etc...

There are a ton of threads on this problem and you'll find many possible causes.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the input. As you said it could be the ignition switch again because i already cleaned the IACV. And i have no other immobilizer key on the same key ring beside my house's keys. So i will try to replace the ignition switch and hopefully, il will resolve the problem. :-)

After cleaning the IACV, it happened again few times. Then, the problem is gone for 3 weeks now. Anyway, i'm happy now but i have no clue what could have done that :-)

You might just want to replace the ignition switch since that's relatively inexpensive if you do it yourself.
