there is a 10/150 warranty on several parts of the SRS- even salvage title cars are covered as its a major safety issue

according to service managers on here- there are 5 of 6 parts covered in the system- thats 99% chance its covered by warranty,, based on the typical failure

Certainly worth a visit and chat with your service MANAGER... not the `service writer` whose job it is to make money on every car,,they should call it ~Creative Writing for Sales~
Manager is there to solve problems and keep customers happy!!

tell them you will give all 10s on surveys if they can help you out
those survey cards go to corp then back to dealer- bonus checks revolve around happy cards, anything less than 10s is a fail to corp
Take ice cream bars for extra goodwill~

It could be the seatbelt pretensioners. If they fired, they will have to be replaced to clear the code, and they are not covered by warranty.

I just took my car in last week to check it. I was banking on it to be a defected seatbelt buckle sensor to waive the diagnostic fee. Lucky enough it was so i got it replaced for free as well as free maintenance inspection.
