It means your airbag isn't wrong if I'm not mistaken....it could be a lose wire under the seat where the SRS wiring is. (if I'm wrong someone correct me plz)
Sometimes once a cars computer cycles it'll go away....I've seen that happen but I would just go and have the computer read and if nothings wrong have them reset it.
hope that helps

One should not be related to the other.
I've had the SRS light come on (in this car or others). Usually restarting the car will get rid of it. If not, get it checked out or troubleshoot it.

I believe there was a recall on the issue. Alot of TLs had this problem. Something in the SRS system has failed, causing the SRS light to come on. In a rare case, the car might have thrown a false code prompting the SRS light.
The SRS System is warrantied for 9 Years/150,000 miles if I'm not mistaken. My light came on, and I took my car to the dealer. They said the only way to tell if something has failed was to reset the light. If it stayed off, there was nothing wrong. If it came back on, there is a problem somewhere. They reset mine, and it came back on within a hour. I went back, and the repalced the "Driver Seatbelt Tensior" and the light went off for about a day. Then it came back on, so I'm planning another trip to the dealer. It was all covered under warranty and I paid nothing.
So, could be anything. Take it to the dealer, most likely you are still under warranty.

its NOT a recall-
It is extended 10 year 150k mile SRS warranty that covers 5 of 6 parts in the system where it may fail- covers 99.99 of the customers it happens too
IF you did any electrical work at all, so much as unplug a connector somewhere under the seat or engine area, follow the reset link above
IF you have not done anything take it to the dealer ASAP
We are talking about the RED SRS light staying on- means Airbags are all off
Seafoam and CEL is usually failure to do good warm up and hot foot blowout drive after- Some crud gets on the O2 sensor and throws a CEL- Will burn off in a day or 2 and Clear itself
Follow the newest seafoam directions using the vac port at the TB housing- not the hose on the fenderwell driver side

After replacing a marker light bulb on my 04 CR-V the SRS light came on. I reset it and it came back. It stopped coming back after the third time.
On my 01 CL S sometimes if I put on my seat belt a while moving it comes on. It resets and stays off until next time (usually a few months later)

Slow-
do the reset method yourself- if that doesnt cure it- you have an actual SRS issue
The extended warranty numbers I stated are USA cars-
cannot say about Canada- you guys have to check with your dealer network

according to the acura service managers on here- bring it in!!
there is a 99.99% chance it is covered by the extended warranty
We also have a seat belt tensioner warranty- if yours doesnt retract by itself, take it in.

Here in Canada it could be different. I called the dealership today and they said no warrenty without even checking anything. I am the second owner so I dont know if it has extended warrenty or not and or if it applies to me.

My srs light came on after a slow crank. The dealer expected it to be a seat belt issue, but a low voltage battery appears to have been the cause. For $100 a new battery and the light reset.

As far as the reset, go back up and check out the link that Spoka posted. That link breaks it down nicely. Hopefully mine stays off. Thanks Spoka.
Just one little side note to make it easier for some. On that page, half way down, where it says Honda Accord and CL's only, that pic is also accurate for my 00tl.
Good luck
