SRS Light

Only had my car 3 days, SRS light has been on since I bought it.
Is there an easy way to read the SRS problem without taking it to the dealer? I work at a Chevy dealer, so, we have some equipment, but I don't know if we have anything that can read a Honda/Acura.
Thanks

They can check a SRS light? I thought they could only check a CEL.

I figured I'd post this for you. It should help you with some of the problems you're encountering. Enjoy!

go to the diy list--its 3rd down on the main thread title list
In there is SRS RESET
If any work electrical wise was done on the car recently- it can trigger that light as an error --if someone worked on the seats and unplugged them with battery connected, that will do it

if thats the case try the reset, if it fixes it good!-
if it fixes it and then comes back on- needs dealer

If nothing was done- call the dealer- there is a special 10 year 150kmile SRS warranty
that covers whatever it needs 99.99% of the time

call acura 1 800 382 2238 x5 and register as new owner- ck recall status and warranty history
ask about the SRS extended warranty and are you covered by it
Ask for cars `first date in service`- that starts warranty period

I'm at 180k, so I'm passed warranty. Found out it's the OPDS.
