Squeeks in Suspension

There is some kind of squeek comming from my front drivers side shock/spring. I have H&R Sports with stock shocks. When I press and release the brake at low speeds I could hear the sound from the outside, not so much the inside. Cant be a blown shock since everything still drives normally. Also, when turning the wheel I could hear a different type of squeek.. so this leads me to believe its maybe a bad ball joint or bushing? Any ideas? (Search didnt help all that much.)

hmm, well, you could possibly have a bad ball joint but i'm not all that experienced with them so i wouldn't know.

now not to be a jerk, but if you're hearing a squeaking when you press the brake have you checked to be sure your pads and rotors are good? definitely not a blown shock because you would certainly know it. chances are high it's a bushing or something not torqued down enough. when did you first notice it?

I guess what he meant was when he brakes, the front compresses the suspension enough to cause the noise. I did get exactly that as well as on uneven pavement when there are ripples and the suspension is supposed to "soak it up". It also mildly "squeaks" when it's cold outside and simply getting out of the car causes it.

Definitely ball joints.

I don't think there are any visual signs since the Honda ball joints have pretty much a sealed appearance. I was told that due to the "new" manufacturing process, these ball joints do not actually last as long as they used to.

You may also notice a lot of "wandering" while accelerating on uneven pavement, 'coz I noted mine was a little tighter on turns after the balljoints were replaced.
