First thing to check is your oil. Is it to the correct level? If so the next thing i would do is make sure the connectors/wires are connected to the vtec oil pressure switches (on the oil pump near the oil filter.

Thanks, I have checked both the connector and the oil level. What should I check next? Can the vtec oil pressure switch be jumped?

Hey fsttyms, another quick question. While I was doing this repair I went ahead and did an oil change. Now I'm getting the maint. rqd light flashing at me a few times when I first turn the key on. Is this light just a reminder for oil change interval? If so how do i reset it? When I bought this car it didnt have an owners manual.

Hey Lexius1, the maintenance reminder light will flash at 7500 mile intervals. If you have an owners manual, the reset procedure is in it. If the manual is misplaced, here you go :

To reset the light with the key off, press and hold the trip mileage reset and select buttons, while turning the key to the ignition on position (not running), keep both buttons pressed for about 10 seconds until you hear a beep and the light goes out, then turn key off and release the buttons. You'll be good for another 7500 miles before it re-activates !

Hey thanks for that 3.2tl. Is 7500 miles the suggested oil change interval for these cars? I'm running synthetic 5w20.
