"Small Light" Fuse keeps blowing
I just recently installed a new head unit, and that night I go to turn the lights on and boom, the "small light" fuse blows. So I replaced the fuse and it just blew again when I turned the lights on.
Why would the "small light" fuse keep blowing? I double and triple checked all the wiring that I did and it's all fine. No exposed wires. And I didn't even go near anything that would be on the "small light" circuit. I just don't understand. Is there a wiring diagram of everything that is on the "small light" circuit? Anyone have any other ideas? |
Well it looks like it is the head unit harness. I still don't know where I went wrong in the wiring though. I guess I will explore more.

Its in your wiring im guessing. Id look at what you have connected to the radios dimmer wire.

It was the dimmer/illumination wire on the harness that was causing a problem. You were right. I couldn't figure out how it was wired incorrectly but it doesn't matter because everything still works fine with it disconnected.
Thanks fstty! |

Looks like the red wire off the head unit goes to the brightness control.
