'Side Airbag Off' light after rain
I came across a few threads but haven't see anyone experiencing this problem. Last night, I left both driver and passenger windows open( yah...wat was I thinkin!! ) in the rain. It was soakin wet this morning on both side. Then I notice the 'Side Airbag Off' light is ON and it stay on during the entire time on my way to work. I'm guessing there might be a electric shortage somewhere. But anyone experiencing this issue before? Appreciate the advices.

Well since you had windows open and things got wet that would be my guess. I would try to dry every thing up and clean out/dry all connectors. and see if it goes away. If not you may have some sensor issues that you will have to go to the dealer to diagnosed.

Welcome to AZine lol.
It's definitely electrical. Get a halogen lamp, or something that gets really hot. Remove the seat to get to the wiring harness, and try to dry it really well. Don't melt it or anything, but just dry it so there is no water left.
If it got wet a long time ago, then your kind of outta luck. I'm sure it's easy to replace what connections were damaged, but you'll have to individually check the connections to find the problematic one.
It should be just labor, but if it was sitting in a puddle... Might need replacement. Either way, the airbag won't work as long as the light is on.
Also, you might get more help on the 3G side.

welcome tleddie--this is gen2 you need to post in 3rd gen for those experts
On this prob its likely the OPDS occupant position detection system in the pass seat sustained water damage
It measures load on upper seat vs lower seat to figure if someone is leaned against the window or has the seat layed way back..
if the airbag went off then, it would break their neck
gen2 has a special 10/150 srs warranty that covers most of the parts
