Ok, has anyone ever shifted hard by redlining then all of a sudden its stuck in that gear and it wont shift until you put it back in neutral then back in drive? Thats happened a couple of times in my 99 tl.

 

yup happens to me when i race....espicially in 2nd when i shift it at 7000 RPM right before it hits the rev limiter. i just put it back into d5 and get off the gas till it shifts into 3rd. this cant be good for the tranny what so ever

 

I can't shift into drive unless I push down on the little hidden button. Has this happened to anybody.

 

This is off topic to what the thread is about but it sounds like your brake switch is gone. You may want to get that fixed asap. If its not working you most likely dont have brake lights either. Its a easy fix. Its a 20 some dollar part and about 15 min to change.
